standard finery.
Standard Finery is a collection created for women who love beautiful clothes but don’t need to make a fuss about them. As the name suggests, the company ethos is rooted in well-made, feminine clothes, while keeping in mind that they should be playful, purposeful and wearable. Standard Finery owner and designer, Caron Callahan, constantly inspired by her friends and neighbors, sets out to make clothes for a creative, spirited woman who loves fashion, but doesn’t necessarily follow it. I just love it. Enjoy.

quilted.
All I see on 5th Ave and all over the city....Chanel Quilted Flap bag in all sizes. Great staple purse that never goes out of style. I really do appreciate this bag, but I'm kind of sick of looking at it on everyone I see of ALL ages. Will anyone think out of the box and maybe enjoy other classics or an underground new young designer?
arm candy.
Leather arm sleeve. Need to get warm for the winter. The wind is already blowing out there. I can hear it.

leather jacket a must.
The most perfect leather jacket with no zippers, Helmut Lang. Don't get me wrong, I love exposed zipper leather jackets, but sometimes a mellow stealth looking jacket is such a perfect touch. I do have an obsession for them all...the bold-shoulder Balmain biker; the cropped black fur Phi; the wrapped Rick Owens; the Vince lambskin motorcycle jacket; A.L.C.’s asymmetric number; and the denim & black mix biker from Alexander Wang. We should all have options in our closets:)

290 mulberry.
Kristin, Leland and I were walking to my birthday dinner the other night and noticed this colorful light flashing building on Mulberry St. As I was flipping through architectural websites, I found information as to why the building was such an eye catcher! The building was designed by Shop Architects and the real estate company representing it is using colored spotlights to draw attention to the luxury lofts for sale. Good idea, definitely caught our attention!!

we are handsome.
The Miami
The Los Angeles
The Jupiter
The Hollywood
The Delaware
The Africa
This company has been all over every site this past week and I didn't want to post any more about it, but I gave in as I thought it over as being a really neat idea. Nowadays you can print any image you want on any article of clothing, whether it be a direct applique or a sublimation of some sort. I thought these photo images were great. These suits remind me of being in the California sun or heck when I was last in South Beach Miami. The Delaware reminded me of my stamp collecting days...yes, I did collect stamps at one point, funny eh? It's just lacking one thing, where's the New York version?
